PS Esther Kroon, 2014
PS Esther Kroon is part of the dutch project PS Camera. Multiple photographers were asked to make new work with the camera of deceased photographers.
In this short documentary three sisters tell about the loss of their youngest sister Esther who was robbed and murdered at a young age in Guatemala.
This documentary is a reflection on the last episode of my neighbours, the sisters Otten’s, lives. It is a portrait of them and their carer Christel. One sisters is a nun. The other two sisters lived together, childless and without husbands, for 60 years. Their daily life is full with funny situations. Over the years the sisters and Christel became interdependent for various reasons. Around their hundredth year they all die and Christel faces her loneliness.
Het Groene Woud, 2011
The film Het Groene Woud was a Landart assignment of BKKC (Brabants Kenniscentrum Kunst en Cultuur) in the green triangle of Brabant. It talks about the complexity of the generational aspect within the family business of a 200-year-old tree nursery.
Artist Igor Levashov came to the Netherlands from Russia around the age of 20. He has built an artistry and a life here.
